Welcome! I am an assistant professor of political science at the University of Tennessee. Before Tennessee, I was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. I earned a Ph.D. and M.A. from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. from Christopher Newport University.
My research examines how poverty and mental health shape the way citizens, especially adolescents and young adults, think about and engage with politics. The links above provide more information about my research, while the links below connect to my publications.
